All our professional driver CPC training courses provide periodic training for lorry drivers. We provide our courses either in the classroom or online, depending on what you prefer. All our courses, whether online or in-person include 7 hours of training per day, are interactive, comprehensive and fully approved by JAUPT.
Covering areas such as EU driver’s hour’s regulations, the working time directive, driving limits, rest periods and Infringements & penalties. Also Digital Tachograph summary including legislation, system overview & operation, record keeping, drivers cards and printouts
An in-depth look at protecting your load including; safe loading and unloading, braking systems and load distribution, securing equipment and vehicle stability.
Including safe and economic driving, changing work habits, the benefits of driving economically, the importance of vehicle maintenance and vehicle aerodynamics. The vulnerable road user section includes; the urban & rural setting, traffic and congestion, driving stress, bridge strikes and speeding.
Covers your rules, regulations and responsibilities including; the relevance of health and safety, the causes of accidents, workplace vehicle accidents, risk assessments, slips, trips and falls and RIDDOR. Also included are; physical and mental fitness, diet and driving, alcohol and drugs, tiredness and sleep patterns plus driving at night.
To summarize the course includes; company documentation, daily vehicle checks, customer care, route planning, OCRS vehicle security and clandestine entrants. The manual handling aspect covers; Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs), manual handling and the body, including the spine, plus correct lifting technique, correct carrying technique and manual handling in freight.

Anyone who drives a vehicle over 3.5 Tonnes subject to EU Driving Hours Rules.
35 hours of CPC driver training has to be completed within a 5 year period. this can be taken back to back or in 7-hour chunks spread out over time.
A driver is required to complete 35-hours CPC training over a five-year period if they wish to continue driving for the next 5 years. training can be taken as 5 individual 7-hour courses spread out within the 5 years, or as 1 intense driver training week – 1 course a day for 5 days.
Once a driver has completed 35-hours CPC training they achieve their Driver Qualification Card. This allows them to continue driving for the next 5 years. This continuation every 5 years is often referred to as periodic CPC training.
Yes, under current circumstances. This may change in the future and we will update our website accordingly when it does. But current regulations allow for online training. I would anticipate that we will be able to continue with online CPC training as well as classroom driver training going forward.
The Training provider will upload each course taken to the DVSA evidencing database, on completion of the 35 hours. The DQC is then automatically sent to the Candidates home address at no further cost.
The Training provider also produces a certificate for each course completed which is finalised within 5 working days.
